How to save DropIn as an app on your phone
Add the DropIn web app to an iPhone or Android Home Screen for quicker access, full-screen use and easier parking handovers.
Install on iPhone
Apple requires web apps to be added from Safari.
- Open www.thedropin.com.au directly in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Scroll to Add to Home Screen.
- Turn on Open as Web App if that option appears, then tap Add.
- Open the new DropIn icon and sign in.
Install on Android
Chrome normally offers an install prompt when the site supports app installation.
- Open DropIn in Chrome.
- Open the three-dot browser menu.
- Choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Confirm the installation and open the DropIn icon.
Why save it
A Home Screen icon makes DropIn faster to find when a park becomes available. The saved version uses the same secure account and live service as the website.
Installation does not change GPS permission. Your phone will still ask you to allow precise location when a give or find journey needs it.
